I wanted to create this space because I firmly believe in photography’s ability to convey real emotions, and I feel the need to recover its value as a pure artistic expression.
With the advent of the digital age, the image has lost its sacredness as a historical document, becoming "liquid"—often used merely to assert: "I am here, now."
But why this website?
My goal with this website is to restore weight and significance to the image, countering the tendency to consume and forget photos with the same speed at which we take them.
It aims to allow shots to be truly observed, and not merely 'seen.'
Here, I do not publish to feed an algorithm. Every photo is chosen with care from thousands, selected only if it holds possesses genuine stylistic or narrative value to me. I thought that each shot must have its own space, without time limits, told through its imperfections and technical details.
I want to give weight to the location, the moment, and the equipment used—whether digital or analog. Furthermore, while I understand the potential of post-production, I dislike distorting the captured reality; should significant editing be present, it will be explicitly communicated.
For years, I tried to conform to rules imposed by others, but today I am building this platform from the ground up, dedicated to everyone who wishes to be carried away by the evocative power of photography.
"I find it incredibly romantic to include people in my shots to freeze unrepeatable moments, leaving each viewer free to interpret the story in their own way."
My passion for photography was born as a child. In 2008, I received my first compact digital camera, which I showed off with pride during school trips. At that age, I treated the ability to capture scenes as a game, fascinated by the electronics of that small object.
During adolescence, however, I lost interest. With the arrival of touch smartphones, the act of shooting became a daily constant but devoid of meaning—an end in itself. The turning point came years later when my father purchased a Nikon DSLR. Thanks to interchangeable lenses and manual settings, I rediscovered the true pleasure of shooting.
It has been five years since that moment. After testing various platforms and software, I felt the need to build this personal space where I decide the rules, dedicated to everyone who wishes to be carried away by the evocative power of photography.
